SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Human Resources Generalist will provide support in various functional areas of the human resources department, including focus on leading recruitment efforts for indirect labor / non-production positions at the facility.


JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Managing all recruitment for open non-production positions. This includes management staff positions.
  • Support administrative activities related to our Applicant Tracking System (Paycom).
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Create and support positive team morale and environment.
  • Provide support to employees by answering questions regarding policies, procedures and benefits and directing them to the appropriate resource for additional assistance.
  • Maintain HRIS system for employee transactions and records.
  • Develop recruitment strategies and recruitment targets for program requirements are met.
  • Perform full-cycle recruiting according to company process and policy.
  • Evaluate and select qualified employment applicants based on needed capabilities.
  • Review position specifications, recommend options for recruitment sources and contact referral sources to solicit candidates.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations for all levels of new hires.
  • Assist with the creation and updates of HR documentation (recruiting aids, training materials, etc.).
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Participate in initiatives to better the community in which we work and live.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

  • A degree in human resource management preferred with three or more years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three plus years of experience in recruiting non-entry level candidates. Technical manufacturing related recruiting experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills – the candidate must be able to establish priorities, successfully juggle those multiple priorities and deadlines, and consistently communicate progress and outcomes achieved.
  • Must be process-driven: dedicated to following set process expectations and standards, and also draws attention to potential process improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be an articulate, reliable, detail-oriented, and solution-minded individual with a "can do attitude".
  • Proficiency in administrative programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Demonstrates a professional and mature demeanor at all times, working in a positive and professional manner with internal/external contacts. Ability to deal with people in a patient and positive manner.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a highly discreet manner.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
